Recently I found the best place and person who can do wax for me quick and painless. Oksana is excellent! She's knows her stuff when it comes to techniques. Waxing is quick.
I went for a manicure and pedicure. While the experience was not unpleasant, I thought the area where the work was done could be cleaner. Blessed with an imposing setting provided by a refurbished bank building, Nickel attracts attention from the street with its giant, glowing white foyer. Beyond the foyer, you'll find two floors decked out in brushed-chrome fittings and connected by a spiral staircase.
In many of the eight massage rooms, steel walls slide back to reveal ading en suite showers. To cap it all off, there's a napping room and a private entrance for VIP members.

I was just abruptly told that there are no reservations even though their website scheduler says there are. I asked the associate why the disparity between the website and his response and he said "we're having our holiday christmas party and the staff member didn't want to take me even though the slot is open. I will find somewhere else to go in the city moving forward and also tell all of my friends about this experience.
This place has been going downhill for a while. This was the straw This place sucks. The atmosphere is not spa like at all. It's very cold and unwelcoming. The therapists seem to have zero connection to the place and are somewhat robotic. I have gotten 2 massages here now and each time they are underwhelming.
The rooms are sterile, the massage is extremely basic and you feel rushed in and out. Not worth it.
Go elsewhere. The Best Wax experience!!!!!!!
I mean very very very quick I've had waxings all over NYC and had pretty bad experiences so i know what i'm talking about! I think the stafff is nice, professional, trendy and very willing to help. They really seem concerned if they percieve you are waiting.
I've had excellent hair cuts and massages. And given the neighborhood, you would think they would be very expensive and they are not. Indeed, they have very competitive rates. I go when I need to relax and release my stress.
I come to know about Nickel from Paris. It's all about who you get. Yes it would be great if there're fountains and feng shui and cookies etc but if that's what you're looking for don't come here. This place is like a basement but bottom line the massage tables are very comfortable and my masseur David who does not come out of any from GQ was one of the best I've ever had and I've had plenty.
I don't go for manicures so can't help you there but body ask for David. Very good place - manager treats the customer well. I just had the perfect minute Aromatherapy massage- highly recommended. I really love Nickel. I have gone here several times for facials and massages.
Planning a trip to new york?
The service is great, the atmosphere relaxing and all in all a great experience every time. The experience I have with them is that I've bought gift certificates on a few occasions - for my husband twice and once for my boss - and it's been a smooth operation each time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the spa menu is expensive - but that's reasonable for a NYC spa. It was a happy ending I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful.
They offered me the choice of tea or water. I chose the tea, which was only average.
Then again, I wasn't here for the tea. I would rather have a great massage at Nickel Spa rather than an average massage at any of the other places in the city that are all "prettied up" and over priced. The prices for the massage was very reasonable and well worth my coin. I went here because I wanted a massage. Which by the way was fantastic. Expected a real "spa" and was disappointed when I went for my massage appointment to learn that they 1 have no locker room?!!
I've never been to one where you can't change into a robe, and shower afterwards - even usually have a whirlpool. Summer SALE!!! Pin It. Owner Message Serious skincare for men.
